Every time some dumb fuck says something about bombing North Korea off the map I want to scream. Those babies faces, that could be my baby. I see my own daughter in all of their innocent faces. That is the same blood in her veins.
People don’t realize how in the dark North Koreans are about the rest of the world. Literally everything is censored by the government. Even their hairstyles. They don’t even allow adoptions outside of the country. (I have to explain this when people always ask which Korea my husband is from… If you meet a Korean adoptee, they are from South Korea.)
People don’t realize how in the dark Westerners are about the world. Literally everything the corporate media displays are lies and in accordance with the interests of the bourgeoisie, and if you say anything to the contrary, you’re demonized and possibly imprisoned, or if you are overseas killed by a drone. Most Westerners only learn more about the world through war. How many people knew where Afghanistan was prior to 2001? Or how many Westerners know that the ‘freedom loving’ US and UK destroyed Iranian democracy for profit? I have to explain this when people keep saying that the route of all evil in the world is countries like Iran, the DPRK, etc. when in fact no country can compare to the US in wars, destruction, killing civilians, and so much more.

North Korea is not Iran. It never was. These pictures of their populace are nice but… Are they really even of North Korea? It’s hard to get pictures from that place as their censorship works both ways. No one knows much about North Korea, except for the fact that their leader is a wackjob… Like his father before him.
People do need to deal with the reality of war though. Civilians will die, it’s inevitable. That’s why you never want to go, it’s always bad. But if someone shoots a warhead at you, they’ve left you little choice.
